On August 14th, Congressman Eric Swalwell, who represents the Tri-Valley, took a tour of the region facilitated by Innovation Tri-Valley. Congressman Swalwell visited with area mayors and city council members at a breakfast, then toured Camp Parks and both Sandia and Lawrence Livermore National laboratories. After a luncheon with members of the Innovation Tri-Valley board, Congressman Swalwell went to Bishop Ranch where he heard about plans for the new City Center at Bishop Ranch, as well as the Fintech Accelerator and Artificial Intelligence Accelerator. Congressman Swalwell along with other stakeholders were treated to rides in Bishop Ranch’s two autonomous buses which will be operating in the business park next year. During the day long tour, Congressman Swalwell repeatedly focused on the need for empathy and inclusiveness for any region to flourish.
