Now in its tenth year, the Ed Kinney Community Patriot Award honors the memory of the former Pleasanton mayor. The award is given to individuals who have exhibited loyal service behavior entitling them to be called Community Patriots.
“It’s a special honor to be recognized by the community I am so passionate about,” said John Sensiba. Community service is very important to me and it is a core principal of our firm. We proudly serve and are passionately committed to finding ways to improve the communities which we live and work in.”
John’s years of volunteering began unintentionally when he started out helping his brother coach a soccer team. That led him to become involved with coaching other youth sports. Since moving to Pleasanton over twenty-two years ago, John now serves as Chairman of the Board for ValleyCare Health Systems, a founding and continuing member of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce’s Business and Community Political Action Committee, a member of the Rotary Club of Pleasanton, Chairman of the Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group and a continuing instructor in the Leadership Pleasanton program.
John is also a former board member of the Las Positas College Foundation, the Presidential Advisory Council for Las Positas College, a member of the Pleasanton Unified School District Excellence Committee and the Pleasanton Unified School District Budget Advisory Committee.
