A tireless advocate for the Tri-Valley’s economic advantages, quality of life and dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group Chair John Sensiba has infused the organization with his uniquely positive leadership style. Sensiba, who is Managing Partner of the accounting firm Sensiba San Filippo LLP, has served as Chair of the business led ITV organization for four years, and now passes the gavel to long time ITV board member and tech industry leader, Steve Lanza.

Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group is a business led collaborative that includes the region’s largest employers and is building awareness of the Tri-Valley region as a hotbed of innovation, technology and empathy.  There are more than 450 tech businesses in the region today.

Sensiba is a nationally recognized finance expert who is often called on to speak at events, is regularly quoted in the national media, and hosts executive roundtable discussions for Bay Area business leaders on emerging industry issues.  Outside of work John is highly active.  In 2015, he was awarded the prestigious Mayor’s Award by the City of Pleasanton. He has also been recognized for his key role as Board Chair during ValleyCare Health Systems affiliation with Stanford Health Care.

“John Sensiba has been the heart of this organization for four years, always insisting on the importance of fostering empathy, and passionate about this region always being inclusive.  He is tremendously loyal to this organization that has demanded a great deal of his time and utilized his insight on a daily basis,” says CEO Dale Kaye.  “Steve Lanza is a natural choice to carry forward ITV’s efforts to insure the health and expansion of the Tri-Valley innovation ecosystem. Steve has played a key role as head of ITV’s Education and Workforce Development Committee, which has developed creative and collaborative programs to nurture home talent.”

Incoming ITV Chair, Steve Lanza, has been a vice president at Lam Research for ten years.  A technology executive with deep general management and leadership experience in sales and marketing, finance and operations, he has also strong organizational development and human resources expertise. Lanza recently served ITV as Co-Chair of the Education Committee, focused on creating internship programs and real-world experience for students graduating from high school and college in the Tri-Valley region.  Lanza is chairman of the College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory and Advancement Council at his alma mater, Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, and is a part time lecturer at the University of San Francisco School of Management and Ohlone College.

“I am excited to continue the great work done by outgoing ITV Chairman John Sensiba.” said Lanza.  “There has never been a greater need for the constituency of the Tri-Valley to focus together on the priorities of our region.”
