Budil sets the strategic vision for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and exercises broad delegated powers to ensure successful execution of programs and operations to enhance national security through application of cutting-edge science and technology and to maintain an outstanding and diverse workforce. She leads the development and implementation of the Laboratory’s scientific vision\, goals and objectives and serves as the Laboratory’s highest-level liaison with the Department of Energy\, National Nuclear Security Administration\, the LLNS Board of Governors\, the University of California and other government\, public and private organizations. \nBudil leads a workforce of approximately 8\,400 employees and manages an annual operating budget of approximately $3 billion. Along with the directors of Los Alamos and Sandia national laboratories\, she shares the responsibility of providing the United States government with an annual institutional assessment of the safety\, security\, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile and enterprise. She is the 13th director of the Laboratory and serves as president of Lawrence Livermore National Security\, LLC. \nBudil has held roles of increasing management responsibility at the Laboratory\, most recently serving as principal associate director for Strategic Deterrence. Budil served as a detailee twice in Washington\, D.C and was Vice President for National Labs at the University of California Office of the President. She currently serves on several boards and participates in numerous professional and community outreach activities. \nBudil holds a Ph.D. in engineering and applied science from the University of California\, Davis\, where she was a Hertz Fellow\, and a B.S. in physics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. \n  \n \n  \n \n \nCourtney B. Jenkins \nCourtney has the distinct pleasure of serving as the President of ENGIE Services U.S. The national team she oversees is focused on engineering\, financing\, and implementing transformative sustainability solutions for educational\, governmental\, healthcare and C&I entities across the U.S.\, with an aim to accelerate the energy transition through the integration and optimization of low-carbon solutions on our customers’ sites\, including distributed generation\, energy efficiency\, resiliency\, and eMobility offerings. Her team oversees over 400 MW of clean power assets and has led some of the most innovative public-private partnerships across the U.S. \nPrior to these roles\, Courtney has served in a series of expansive management positions within key commercial\, operational\, and strategic leadership functions with ENGIE\, OpTerra\, and Chevron’s clean-tech division\, all of which centered around driving sustainability transformations and building high-performing business lines. As a ferocious champion for diversity\, equity\, and inclusion in the workplace\, she had the honor of co-founding the ENGIE Services Women in Networking group within North America and continues to serve on both ENGIE’s Executive Steering Committee for DEI globally and the ENGIE North American Culture and Values Leadership Team (CVLT). Concurrently\, Courtney is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Energy Services Companies (NAESCO)\, a leading voice for industry advocacy and policy-shaping in the U.S. market. And recently\, she was named one of the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Top 100 Women of Influence.
